WATCH: Resident captures high-speed chase in Dededo before officer-involved shooting occurs

By Johnnie Rosario

(Tumon, Guam) Kandit has received exclusive video of what appears to be the vehicle matching the description of the vehicle involved in the police chase and shooting being pursued by police in Dededo early this morning.

Sources tell Kandit that police attempted to pull someone over along Chalan San Antonio around 3:45 a.m. today. The person did not heed the pull-over attempt and led police on a chase that ended on Lada Ave., which is adjacent to Salisbury St. in Dededo. The chase ended near the Palauan Abai around 3:50 a.m. The lone occupant of the vehicle being pursued attempted to run over a Guam Police Department officer.

Shots were fired.

Two ambulances were dispatched; one for the suspect, who was shot; and the other for the officer for stress. Police have said that the suspect was transported to Guam Regional Medical City for injuries.

The recordings of radio transmissions among police officers, medics, and dispatchers corroborates these source details. Here are the YouTube links to these recordings, which we premiered on our YouTube channel this morning:
