Director of public health Linda DeNorcey is allowing the following businesses to open Monday, June 15 at 8 a.m.:

  • Childcare centers at no more than 25 percent occupancy

  • Massage parlors

  • Movie theaters

  • Fishing charters and other similar businesses

  • Non-organized, contact physical activities and sports (sporting events, tournaments, and other similar activities are prohibited)

At 8 a.m. on Friday, June 19, the following businesses may open:

  • Bars and taverns at no more than 25 percent occupancy

  • Bowling alleys

There's a caveat, though:

"The businesses and organizations identified (above) may proceed to operate after industry-specific or organization-specific plans are developed and submitted with COVID-19 prevention and control measures outlined in the document, Minimum Pandemic Workplace Operational Requirements, which was issued by the Department of Public Health and Social Services and any other requirements set forth by DPHSS," according to Ms. DeNorcey in her June 13 DPHSS Guidance Memorandum 2020-19.
