Man confesses to robbing citizen of money for drugs, writes apology letter

(Yigo, Guam) Vincent Perez, 27, robbed a man by pointing a half-foot ice pick at him and taking his money on September 25. Mr. Perez confessed the crime to police officers, when they found him on October 3.


Mr. Perez told officers that he used the money to buy drugs, and that he has since been trying to get treatment for addiction at the Oasis Treatment Center.


Mr. Perez penned an apology letter to his victim.


Prosecutor Jeremy Kemper, in his declaration of probable cause, accuses Mr. Perez of second degree robbery as a second degree felony and third degree robbery as a third degree felony.
